Artscape Fine Art Fair ~ Arboretum in Dallas

Last Year's Booth

You are invited to visit my Mobile Art Gallery at Artscape Art Fair, a three-day fair in the beautiful grounds of the Dallas Arboretum.Find me in in Booth 67 near the center of the Fair, on Friday 16th, Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th of March, along with many of my brand new works.The Fair coincides with the hundreds of thousands of bulbs in bloom, making it a wonderful and unique time to enjoy these beautiful urban oasis.

Entry is $10, but if you would like free tickets, email me and I’ll drop them off or mail them to you.

The Arboretum is so beautiful this time of year, and the crepe myrtle corridor there was one of my earliest inspirations for my art, in Texas. The ArtScape Fair is a great chance to buy an artwork directly from the artist.

500XPO and the 125 Show

My work has been juried into two shows!

500X

The 500X annual show, juried by Aaron Parazette. 500X is Dallas’s oldest artist-run co-operative space, and I am very proud to have my work selected for such a prestigious show.

As they say on their website, “500x Gallery, Texas’ oldest artist-run space, hosts one of North Texas’ most anticipated annual juried competitions.”

125 Show

Jurors Ryder Richards, artist, and Laura Green, Director of Valley House Gallery & Sculpture Garden, selected Going Home from almost 400 entries to be featured in this annual show for artists living within 125 miles of Plano.

Please join me for the reception, and see around seventy amazing works of art!

When? March 21st (Wednesday), from 5.30 until 8pm, with awards being announced at 7pm.

Project7x7t

From now until the exhibit’s show in May at Rising Gallery (Dallas), I will be working as one of seven Dallas-based artists on collaborative artworks. Project 7×7 is a collaborationbetween seven artists from different styles & backgrounds. The idea is to create seven fine art pieces between seven artists in seven working days each. Each of the seven pieces will be a timed, rotational collaboration between all seven artists.The Artists

Incrementum Art Auction

Nocturne #4: Save Time for Dreaming ~ donated to Alley’s House charity auction

Join me in Dallas at Rising Gallery on February 4th, and bid for my donated painting, Nocturne #4: Save Time for Dreaming.

Fifty per cent of the proceeds are for Alley’s House (a local charity that supports teen moms in completing their education, and looking after their child.) 50% of the sale price goes to the artist.

It will be a really great evening, with live jazz, wine and hors d’oeurves.

There are over a hundred artworks available. Tickets are $25 and the paintings have a ‘buy it now’ price, as well as being available for live auction.

My newest series, PixelNation is featuring in its second solo exhibit this year at the Aloft Downtown, in Dallas, presented by Ro2 Art. Your Glass of Life

Your Glass of Life – GrowingRecently, I was approached by Jon Mertz to create artworks for his new book, Your Glass of Life.The goal of Your Glass of Lifeis to simply deliver several life messages through an analogy of a glass, and I have created 21 digital artworks to accompany his words.It is currently available as an ebook, and soon as a printed copy. Juxtaposed in Connecticut

Three of my latest works have been chosen by painter Alyssa Monksfor an upcoming show at Six Summit Gallery, in Connecticut.The exhibit runs from September 23– November 20, 2011 at Six Summit Gallery in Ivoryton, CT (www.sixsummitgallery.com.).The reception is being held on Saturday October 16, 6pm till 11pm, with a post-reception toast on Sunday afternoon (October 17th).

PixelNation ~ Solo Show

2011 has seen my interest in the pixel as a core fragment of new culture meld traditional oil painting with digital painting. My commitment to creating a daily drawing on my iPad for 365 days has, perhaps inevitably, influenced my oil paintings, with the two approaches mixing into new ideas, forms and presentations.

This new series ~ PixelNation ~ will be shown at the ArtCentre of Plano in September 2011 for the first time, and then going on tour… more details to follow!
