This series of works uses iconic, simple shapes overlayed or filled with textures and materials. All the materials are post-production items gathered from typically masculine or feminine categories, such as garages and embroidery stores, and uses contrasts of shapes, textures or colors, such as concrete and dress fabric.
It is a visual poem describing experiences of the dichotomous ideas of the feminine and masculine as defined by socially constructed roles, as well as the natural impulses and experiences of male / female relationships.
I created this series to exist as a singular sentence, and to be seen in its entirety.
