Artists’ Tours of the Arboretum, and Fall Workshops

Tour the Gardens with Artists Alison Jardine & Erika Jaeggli

About the Tours

Join us on Wednesday evenings during “Wind Down Wednesdays” for a tour of the gardens led by Dallas artists Alison Jardine and Erika Jaeggli. These tours offer their interpretation of the Arboretum, and coincide with their gallery exhibit and artist residency entitled, “The Artists’ Garden”, which opens on June 5th. Jardine and Jaeggli will share the artist’s view of the garden as well as the inspirations for the exhibit.
Tours will begin in the classroom with a brief slide show of the artists’ work at the Arboretum as well as famous artists who used nature as their subject matter. Visitors will be encouraged to view the gardens through a different lens. The focus will be on artistic concepts such as light, shadow, reflection, line and color as a way to enhance the understanding of plants and flowers. All levels of art appreciation are welcome. This is a unique opportunity to view the beloved gardens with a new perspective.
